When you put the vertex 3 in make sure you update the Intel RST drivers and BIOS. Some non-Intel drives are not well supported by Microsoft and Microsoft send too many sectors to TRIM (might be fixed). As well as this Intel drivers have a fix for sleep and low power states of the drives. You will have to check OCZ work properly as there are some they may not, I have not kept up with it all.
The PSU is too big, your board will idle at 100watts and go to 300 or so, you could get a smaller PSU that is more than 90% efficient at 100watts... 1000watts will only be 60 or 70% efficient.
I am actually moving down to platinum 460w or 450W with about 94-96% efficiency soon, don't even use that much now and next years GPU's will use hardly any power.
With Ivy and a next gen video card it might be less watts idle.
I have a watt meter on my case all the time and it rarely needs much power. You will need more than me for GTX580 (300w) though...
-full power normal 60W+95W+155W
-full power overclocked CPU running full tilt and 580unlockedInFur 60W+150W+300W (not that u would do CPU and GPU at the same time, maybe a game might though if it was setup badly, but even then I don't thing any games would stress all cores and the GPU like the benchmarks do) Fur does about 100watts or more than any other bench.
-normal game about 130 to 250watts or something for the whole system
