Hi I just got this Crosshair V Formula board, i installed all my peripherals but had a failure and now i am running just 1 hdd, 1 dvd drive, 1 graphics card and half my RAM.

PC Specs:

AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
16GB Corsair Vengance 4 X 4GB 1600MHZ 1.50v ver 2.12
2 X ATI Sapphire HD5770 1GB
4 SATA HDD's 2 X 1.5TB & 2 X 2TB
1 X SATA BDRW Drive
1 X SATA DVDRW Drive
900w PSU 80+ SLI/Crossfire

The Parts are installed, on startup there is a slight pause then a beep (Found VGA),
Then monitor comes on with
S.M.A.R.T supported
Using Gen2
No Devices Found

Then a very brief Asus logo flash screen, then a full screen of data listing my CPU, my RAM (always what is installed) but at 1333mhz
my sata hdds and sata disk drives.
There is a red light on motherboard on center right (furthest right) led just to left is green.

The message ends
Please enter setup to recover BIOS setting.
"EC or EC Flash may be corrupt"

I have tried repeatedly to enter BIOS but cannot enter there.

If you can shed any light on my problem please help.

Thanks.

Use only one stick for posting, place it in the slot furthest away from the CPU.
Did you try pressing the MemOK button?
Also, try upping the DRAM voltage to 1.5250-1.550v.

Do you have another graphic to install just for posting purposes?

Also, did you clear the CMOS after updating your bios to 0705?

have taken cmos battery out (dobt know how to use the jumper) , switched graphics cards, just 1 stick of ram, increased voltage on ram to 1.52500

found humper and did as it states in manual moved from pins 12 to 23 for 10 secs.

ok did memtest ok, got a message "memory ok suceeds in system booting enter system bios to save the memory setup"
I went into setup and values had resest. but i have now got nm cpu voltage to stick at 1.200000 but dram voldage has gone to auto at 1.659v
i realised settings had reset cos the mem ok test showed 1333mhz again, i changed again but now have that 1.659v problem, still getting red qled too.

Hi, I just put an 80GB SATA HDD in and run a fresh install of Windows 7, it installed perfect, no red lights and all green lights now.
I still need to update a bunch of drivers but it looks promising.

Thanks for your help

Did you try the other sticks, one at a time?
Also, try the other dimms, now with one stick in the 3rd slot away from the CPU.
Could possibly be getting a short somewhere, have you tried posting with the mobo outside of your case?

Also, I would like to know the make & model of your 900W PSU.
