New Build Troubles, Help! PLEASE

Ok so after saving for months and months I finally had enough money to buy a Rampage IV Extreme and a 3930k. I went and picked up the parts and then built the system, I tried to boot from my SSD, froze on the windows sign. kept trying and it kept freezing. I updated the BIOS, Cleared the CMOS, everything I could think of. Then I came to the conclusion that I would just have to do a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I did it and it was going fine, then it got to 91% and said that some files were either missing or deleted, I tried again, same message at 91% again. I unplugged my SSD for some reason, don't remember what, but then when I plugged it back it, it wasn't getting detected, not it the BIOS nor by the Windows Installer. Please if anybody could help me out that would be amazing, I was so happy to finally upgrade and now i've been shattered by not being able to experience the glory of six cores. :'(

ps: My SSD is an OCZ Vector 256gb

Hi Ciridae,
to get help, it would be appropriate that you supply us with more information on your hardware, for example what type of Ram, the cpu and ram speed, the setup bios etc.. for now it is too little to make a diagnosis.

oh ok sorry for not supplying that.

The cpu speed is stock for a 3930k, the ram speed is 1333mhz, some really cheap brand, and the bios is completely new, nothing changed with it. As i said i just got the system so i haven't had time to do anything.

Ok Ciridae,

if I understand correctly, you have installed win7 U. on your SSd, the installation is successful, but after the reboot the computer freeze during the load of the Sys Op ... maybe just as display the logo of win7 ..? The Intel controller, where you connect the drive, it is in AHCI mode? The timings of the Ram are all in AUTO? Voltage of Vcore, Vtt, Vccssa as are set? The bios revision (not imporant but just to know)?
You can give this info?

Please confirm that you are using a legal copy of OS for the install and could you tell me how you are trying to install the OS? Are you using Windows USB tool or a DVD?

I would suggest downloading the Windows USB Tool from Microsoft and creating a USB OS install drive. It is simple to install and set up. All you will need is your legal copy of OS. Works with Windows 8 too by the way.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Hi Ciridae,

I'm back again, I see that you have not answered my questions, but I also see that you are dealing with our moderator HiVizMan ... who better than him? You are certainly in much more competent hands than mine. However, I will follow your tread.

Hello to you and HiVizMan.

I know windows system builder packs slave to the mobo serial number and if you change the board you have to beg MS for another product key for Windows. Are you using a UEFI install?? If so you may want to check you firmware version on your ssd I had a similarproblem during a windows 8 install that was caused by older firmware. Hope this helps some 🙂
