New build ASUS CH5 with 8150 won't boot/post

Just finished up a brand new build,
Crosshair V 990FX chipset
AMD FX8150 @ 3.6
16GB (4X4GB)CORSAIR Vengeance 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
ASUS ENGTX560
COOLER MASTER V8 RR-UV8-XBU1-GP 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler
Thermaltake Blackwidow 850 watt PSU

BIOS number next to the serial on the board says 1102

Will power up but will not post, the CPU QLED stays red. I've read a few threads, pretty sure it's a problem with an outdated bios but I just bought everything from Newegg last week and got it on Tuesday May 1. Any help would be appreciated

Well RMA'ed the processor, got the new one, just installed it, same error. Red CPU_led on the board. Tried every other suggestion with no luck, anyone have any ideas?

RMA the board I guess or swap PSU out.

Got a new board and PSU on the way, 1000W Thermaltake. Don't have time to RMA the board and wait so just ordered a new one to see if it works. Hopefully have it up and running on Wednesday. Just curious, if this doesn't fix it, any other ideas? The only thing I can think of is I got another DOA processor.

Lets cross that bridge when we need to. I have subscribed to this thread so will pick up any feedback.

Hi
You could also try loosening off your heatsink slightly, if you have over tightend your heatsink it wont post, somtimes if the FX is pushed too hard into the socket it can cause no post problems.

P.S dont loosen it completely or you might overheat it..just tighten it with your hands until its secure then try to post.

Sal - That was one of the first things I tried, even tried booting without the heatsink on just to isolate that out with no luck.
HiViz - It was the board. Got my new one yesterday afternoon, swapped everything out, booted up perfectly first time with zero issues. So the first proc I got was probably perfectly fine.
