New bios 4901

I used 4804 on my Formula board to get my 4960x 120% stable using only +0.010v + Medium LLC - giving roughly 1.28v.
Using 4901 I found on my first attempt system couldn't even run one pass of IBT using the exact same settings. I noticed vcore was only going up to 1.26v.....

Reboot and tested again - made some changes to memory - dropped from 2T to 1T and it worked perfectly fine this time - full 10 passes of IBT - wierd.

There's defo some instability with overclocking on this new bios by the looks of it! - risk it only if you have major issues with system stability and completely agree Bateman - there should be a proper change log not just 'system stability' as a generic excuse.

Hi,

I tried to Upgrade to 4901, and somehow it failed.
I'm have swithed over to the 2nd UEFI. from 2013...

This is what I get I get post and I see the ATAPI (Ithinkt it is called that I can see something about my harddrive...) post screen then I get American Megatrend post and it is telling me to press F1 to enter BIOS setup. but nothing happens. I have changed keyboard and also ports.

It seems to be feezing when it comes to that screen.

Please please someone... help?

Hey guys,

What R4F BIOS do you guys recommend if you're still using a 3930K CPU?

I'm not sure if I should be giving any of these newer BIOSes a go, as I assume they are geared towards the 4xxx series CPUs. Would the new ones still work OK with older 3xxx series CPUs?

I'm currently using BIOS 3602 as I wanted to upgrade from 1404 to change to the new tupe of BIOS, but my 4.5Ghz overclock wasn't stable anymore with 3602, so I've just been using stock settings for the last 6 months or so. I would like to have another go at overclocking my CPU back to 4.5Ghz Offset like I had before.

Can anyone answer my question and recommend what BIOS version is best for a 3930K? Would the new ones still be OK, or should I stick to something older?

for me the best is the 4206.

new bios has a bug that prevents 3930K (Sandy guess others too) go from 4,200 tests render graphics and games.

is an unresolved bug and they do not intend to solve, nor is it mentioned and if nobody answers questions.

I am still using a 3930k and upgraded to this latest BIOS.
For me it fixed an issue, where Windows would crash to a blue screen, when I set the C-State Limit in the UEFI to "no limit". Now it starts just fine, and the AX1200i reports me slightly less power consumption in idle.
Overclocking wise I encountered no problems, but my OC is very conservative at 4.3 Ghz.

I totally agree, that a minimal changelog would be helpful for us users.

For some reason my on board Bluetooth does not work, it was enabled in bios, but in both vista and win 8.1 it was not recognized even after reinstalling drivers. I don't know if this is do to new bios

Concerning the Bluetooth functionality, there is no glitch on my machine. Everything still works as intended.
Is your Bluetooth module still listed in the device manager, or is it also missing there?

missing in device manager, my usb bluetooth dongle registers right away
