network card doesn't work from cold boot but will after reboot

I just built this system and when I power it up from cold the network card will not initialize. It won't even show up in the network manager. If I reboot the system it works fine. The drivers initialize and the network card works perfect. I downloaded the latest Intel drivers and played around with some of the power settings but it didn't help.

I have an idea: go to system manager in Windows and verify that your network adapter has no power saving options enabled.

I'm assuming that you are referring to this?
I had already tried turning all the options off.

Right click mypc, then properties, device manager and then right click your network adapter. I don't have a pc in front of me now but i think that's the correct route. Any power saving options should be disabled.

I'm going to call Asus on Monday. I had already tried to disable all the options as you can see in the picture I posted. I also disabled the only LAN option I found in the BIOS. I can't believe that it's a bad NIC chip since it works perfect after reboot. There has to be some driver load issue on a cold startup.

You don't have your motherboard set to Allow Network to tun on PC, do you?

I understand what you were asking qdemn7. I turned off those options and you can see by the picture that they're off. I also went into the BIOS and the only option is to either enable or disable the LAN chip, no other options. I called ASUS today and tech support is working to help me resolve the problem.
