Need help with SATA driver installation

I am doing a reinstall of Win7 and realized I haven't updated my drivers for my mobo in awhile.

I have a Rampage III Formula.
So I downloaded the Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology Driver Software V10.5.0.1026 for Windows Vista/7 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)

Since I don't use raid and non of my HDD's are SATA 3.

When I tried to run the AsusSetup.exe after unzipping, it starts to install then gives me some error about "System Requirements not met"

Am I using the wrong driver?
I don't understand why my system would not meet the requirements..

Welcome to the ROG forums, Murael.

Since you're not using RAID, skip the Intel RST driver software. It offers little to no performance increase.

Then which driver should I use for AHCI on my ICH10R Chipset?

The native Windows 7 AHCI driver will suffice. 😉
