I need help configuring my system to run my CMT8GX3M2A2000C9 at rated speed of 2000 C9.
I'm manual overclocked running vcore w/offset mode. I have no desire to run XMP mode of overclocking so don't suggest that. However, in checking my bios after installation, there is one XMP 1 mode available which is to run 1866 not 2000 anyway so it wouldn't work for my stated goal. I typically use the bios to select the designated speed which was fine for the CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 which these replaced because 1866 is selectable from the drop down in bios however it jumps up to 2133 after that and there is no in between of 2000 for a selection. I bumped Vdimm to 1.65v manually because it was defaulting to 1.5vdimm and 1066 speed to try 2133 w/ all else on auto but system would not boot at the current clk speed I'm running and I have not tried default clocks. My desire is to remain overclocked at 4.8 which was P95 18 hrs stable running the CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9 at 1866 2t. That took a bump of VCCSA or VCCIO to 1.1v vs the default I'm aware possibly higher would be needed to run 2000. My CPU PLL was lowered to 1.65 from default which should not make a difference but I thought I'd mention it just in case. When I chose 1866 it defaults to 1.5vdimm 9-9-9-24-CR1.
If there is anything I forgot or you need to know don't hesitate to ask I'm just eager to run these modules at rated spec.
If it is not possible to run at rated speed based on motherboard limitations could someone recommend what would be the best settings to run these modules. i.e. 1866 8-8-8-???? CR? 1.6v?
