Hello everyone,

My last liquid cooler broke down ( cooler master eisberg 240l ) .

Now I am searching for a top 3 of liquid coolers for the combination formula-z and a fx9590

Crosshair 100i
Crosshair 110
...

Could you guys help me out to find a new cooler that will work for this Chernobyl cpu?

Hello Stephan030

The h100i is a 240mm radiator, the h110 is a 280mm radiator.

If your case supports 280mm radiators the h110 would be better than the h100i.

There is also the h100i gtx but the h110 would still be a little better with the bigger radiator and 2 x 140mm fans.

I use the h110 mounted in a Corsair Obsidian 750D case with no difficulty, but like the guy above said, it is a 140x140 radiator, so you usually have to have one of the larger cases to fit it in.

If you plan on overclocking, your best bet would probably be to get somebody to help you put together a good custom open-loop cooler, but for extremely mild overclocking (like say 5.0 on all cores), or base speeds, the h110 will be fine.

Sure looks like it would be ok, although some people on the net are claiming not doing a custom loop for that case (rather than the h110) is a waste.

Computer is running again for 1hour now....
the new cooler is the Crosair H110 GTX on the FX9590 CPU

this is the computer in idle mode...
