I'm currently using ASUS B550M-K motherboard. I get a windows update last week and i update it. When I tried to turn it on again last night, it wouldn't start at all. The fans don't spin, and there's no response. I took it to a local computer technician, and they said that the BIOS firmware on the motherboard has been erased. Is this issue possible, and how can we fix it?

Experiencing a dead system after a Windows update is frustrating. A corrupted BIOS is plausible, especially on ASUS B550M-K. Did the technician try flashing the BIOS? Some boards have a BIOS flashback feature. While you wait, maybe unwind with a game of Uno Online to relieve the stress. Searching online forums specifically for ASUS B550M-K BIOS recovery might yield useful solutions. Good luck getting your PC back up and running!

The ASUS B550M-K is a Prime motherboard and supports BIOS Flashback / ASUS Crashfree BIOS 3.
You can try restoring the BIOS/UEFI using a USB flash drive.
Instructions for this should be in the motherboard manual (page: 50 - 53 ).
A BIOS update file can be found on the motherboard's support website.
