Hi Everybody.

Long time no post here, but I’ve been reading some of the threads lately.

Need your help, please. Well, my problem is that I ordered this kit of RAM, in order to upgrade my 8Gb Kingston HyperX, on newegg 2 weeks ago
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231596
, as matter of fact, a friend of mine who lives in the states (Sn Antonio, Tx) ordered and he sent me the kit via fedex to Mexico.

So I received yesterday and tried to install them with no success at all. Signs: Black Screen, fans running, Qcode 55 and can’t able to enter Bios.
I tried Clear Bios by pressing CMOS button located at the rear panel. Also I removed the Lithium cell CMOS power for about 90secs and put it back and turn the system on and the Qcode 55 is still appearing.

I decided to buy this kit because on TechPowerUP they tested on a ASUS Maximus V Extreme, here is the link
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/GSkill/F3-2666C11Q-16GTXD/5.html
and if you check the QVL of this MVE on www.asus.com do not appear this kit 16GB(4x4GB) Model F3-2666C11Q-16GTXD Only appears the one with 32GB (4x8GB), both has the same timings.

The QVL for the MVGene is the same as the MVExtreme, 47196

Theorically shouldnt work on none MoBo's (MVE or MVG). So the question is how do they did to work on MVE, if not listed in QVL?

The newegg specifications sheet say this:
“Features: Designed for 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors and Z77 platform
Intel XMP 1.3 ready
Removable top fin of the heat spreader
Includes G.SKILL Turbulence II memory fan
XMP ready for 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors”

So I bought it with those theorical facts, and assuming that QVL are not updated.

My Final Questions are:
What am I missing to do? Any ideas to make this kit run? Or this particular set of Ram is designed for 4th Generation Processors and Z87/Z97 Plataforms as the label says in the box?
47197

Could you guys guide me step by step, please. I appreciate your help. I would not like to get rid of this beautiful kit. Thanks in advance.

I was thinking that before, because one guy who bought G. Skill Trident X with same combo as mine (mobo and i5-3570k) COMPLAINS about that and he couldnt make It run @2400Mhz He post that on the reviews of newegg.

But the question is Why my HyperX Predator Kingston Memories can handle @2400Mhz at manual and XMP with no problems or there are because the loosing timings CL11? even i have the kit ran It @ 2600 once.

And there is another question that concerns me more. Why Just one stick works properly (see my table)?

With one stick there is less strain on the cpu's imc, with all 4 sticks that is more strain on the imc which is the cpu's integrated memory controller.

The looser timings of the hyper x ram is why you were able to run at a higher frequency.

Ok. Now I getting understand. Finally, do you think that i will have some issues with this kit running at the SUCCESSFUL values that WE achieve?

Well I'll say this, it's pretty safe to say that it won't run 16GB at 2400MHz. You could settle for 2200MHz with 9-11-11-28 timings which should have about the same performance as running 2400MHz with 10-12-12-31 timings.

Or get the 3770k cpu.

Ok. Thank you my friend.

Really appreciate all your help. I am going to think on that.
