Finished building my computer yesterday . Tried to turn it on but got black screen. The screen is registeribg the dvi connection. My q code ends at a0. Any help would be appreciated

Please list your complete system specs. And are you using a DVI cable or a DVI adapter?

If yes,the system is normal to running,you can check your monitor cable or monitor source from...
If not,maybe you can do once CLRTC setting

What you need to ensure is that you have the power cables connected to your video card, and that your monitor is set to the correct input.

try using the other DVI plug on your video card, sometimes I have that too, especially since I started running 2 video cards. I mean when it works it works solid, but when you switch the DVI<-> monitor plug on video card (e.g. between DVI-I vs DVI-D or between video cards) especially on running system then the black screen welcomes, once or twice I saw it at startup too after swapping ports on cards (or between cards, can't remember). 600 series video cards you running perhaps? they can do that to you sometimes ...
