I'm not sure if this question was asked but is there any chance of software side of the upgraded bios being included in the one gen older - Z77 models?? Features like:

1. SSD Erase
2. New UEFI Look
3. Upgraded Daemon Tools (current ones are not Windows 8 compatible!!!!!)
4. Additionally, kaspersky inclusion would be nice as well...!!

Just my personal opinionated question!! But all based on what would be included in the new Z87 ROG product range. Come on ASUS, we stood by one whole gen and all Z77 owners are probably feeling withdrawn and distraught at the moment in lights of myriads of Z87 mobo launches!!! 😉

All I'm saying help us lift our morale....!!! 🙂

ok now it makes sense. The article says the whole ROG team focused all their efforts on one motherboard, a 2011 chipset,
Meanwhile the whole Z77 lineup gets no love. Pretty Sad

What hardware design stops them adding features into the UEFI?

You're really telling me they can't add Secure Erase, Last Modified Log, Quick Note and ROG Pulse to the UEFI of a Z77 due to a hardware limitation? if so please advise what this hardware limitation is then I could maybe understand.

If they just came out and said we are no longer focusing our efforts on the Z77 ROG boards and future advancements to the UEFI are saved for new model boards only, that would be more believable/understandable.

I just think some users will be miffed to see 2013 UEFI advancements being back ported to a X79 chipset whilst being told that this isn't possible for the Z77 series.

Personally I think it is possible I just think they don't have the resources or time to do so and that's fair enough, but please don't try and make out it's a hardware limitation.

Something like Quick Note would not be hardware limited. But that does not negate the fact that some of the features being ask for are hardware limited. New models of most consumer products bring features that the previous versions lacked. If those features are desired an upgrade to the newer model is normally required. This may not sit well with some but is not out of the ordinary.

Fine, UEFI 2013 will not be available fo our motherboard(Z77).
However, there are also other subjects, that for quite some time, have not been given any sollution, such as AI SUITE,
for which the last edition has a lot of problems, like fanexpert2 but also old drivers. Will you give us a sillution in them?
