Motherboard makes multiple attempts to post since upgrade to BIOS 0602

I just upgraded from BIOS 0501 to BIOS 0602.

After I upgraded the BIOS, I disconnected the AC, pulled the CMOS battery and discharged all remaining voltage, etc...

5 minutes later I put everything back together and immediately began to reset my BIOS.

I didn't notice anything initially, however after I loaded the "Default" values, set the date and time, and tweaked the BIOS to my previous configuration and rebooted, that's when I noticed a problem...

When I reboot, power cycles twice before the motherboard finally posts on the 3rd attempt...

BTW, My PS is a 1200W Corsair Professional Series Gold High-Performance Power Supply. There was no problem before the BIOS upgrade, so I tend to think this is not a PS related issue...

Anyone experience anything similiar?

If so, how did you resolve the issue?

I adjusted all memory related BIOS 0602 settings to match my previous BIOS 0501 settings, however, the R3BE continued to cycle the power at least twice before finally booting on the 3rd attempt.

Frustrated, I reflashed to BIOS 0501. Reset the BIOS again to previously used settings, and now the problem is gone...

I'd like to upgrade to the latest BIOS, but I have to figure out a solution to this issue first. If anyone has a suggestion, please let me know.

The 0602 BIOS is rock solid! You need to flash, restart, shutdown then hit the "Clear CMOS" button on the back of your computer. Reconfig all of your settings and you're good to go!

Clearing the CMOS is the key here.

All,

I'm running 0602 now, and without issue.

Disabling the "memory recheck" option resolved my problem..

Thanks!
