Then i would say your cpu's IMC cant run 4 sticks of ram at 2133, some cpu's have good IMC's, others have crap IMC's,it's the luck of the draw. Have you tried running just 2 sticks at 2133.??? To be honest,16 gig of ram is just overkill.

CPU and IMC is a such a sore point for me. Moorhen2 is spot on it is really luck of the draw. I have one cpu that will do 3000MHz with 4 sticks of ram but will not get above 5.2GHz for love or money. And my best CPU will do 6.7GHz but has the worst IMC I have eve seen. LOL what can you do, but smile.

Okay you think my 2500K cannot reach 2133 Mhz RAM. i have tested with 1 and 2 sticks in every slot. @ XMP profile 1866 is working fine. is it possible to fix the IMC problem? or can i overclocking from 1866 Mhz?

And when i put another CPU in slot it`s possible to handle it with luck?

IMC (Integrated Memory Controller) is not something you can really fix. You might have to add voltage and maybe more voltage than you would normally be comfortable with adding to get your CPU to play nice with those sticks of ram.

http://www.anandtech.com/show/2594/11 This article is a nice bit of background as to when Intel moved the memory controller from the chipset to the the processor.

What I would do is see if I can get someone to test the ram with a different CPU. There are no guarantees with PC components I am sad to say. And what you do have to understand is that the CPU is working perfectly even if it will not do 2133MHz but another will. I say this because the CPU is only expected to do the default frequency of the platform.

I would play with one stick of ram and adjust the voltages to see what works and what does not.

Here is something you can try. Enable the XMP profile for 1866MHz, then change the ram frequency to 2133MHz leave all the other settings as per the XMP profile and let us see if that works.

No. it`s dont work. i have set the right timings to and then with a little bit more power to vccio and a little bit more to the rams. i think it`s not possible ? Can i go with BLCK trough that?

Yes you can and certainly at this stage of the process you have nothing to loose.

To be quite honest, unless your into Memory intensive benchmarking,ie SuperPI etc etc, there is not much difference between 1866 and 2133 ram frequencies,i dont think the average pc user would even notice the difference. Just my 5 peneth worth.:o

moorhen want to know something, you could leave your ram at 1600Mhz and not notice the difference.
