MIVE-Z: problem to run Kingston HyperX H20 @ 2133 Mhz / 4x4 - please help!!

i can`t run the RAM (4x4 GiB) via X.M.P. @ 2133 Mhz. I have a 2500K without OC at this moment. Bios Version: 3203

i can only run @ 1866 Mhz ... what can i do? 😞

Ok what you could do is set the profile in BIOS to XMP2

Then F10 enter

Back into BIOS and have a look at what voltages are being set. I would increase the VCSSA/IO up two or three notches.

Your CPU might just need the extra voltages to drive the IMC.

But i cannot boot when set to XMP profile 2 (2133Mhz) i have increase the VCSSA 1 and then 2,3 times. machine cannot boot an i cannot go to bios with this cofiguration

Please try the 2133Mhz XMP profile with only 1 stick of ram in the furtherest slot from the CPU.

If that one stick fails, try another until you have tried all of your sticks.

i have check every RAM stick single in the furthest slot and i cannot set to 2133Mhz too. VCSSA 1.2 Volt or lesser? 1.052 is @ 1866 setted

So ---- when you set Tweaker to XMP Profile 2, with MBB disabled - then F10 / save & exit ...
... the machine restarts & goes through the boot sequence; & at the end, you're not getting to the error screen : "Overclocking Failed / F1 to adjust settings" ??
... once there, F1 will then take you into the bios.

...but if not, describe what is happening; & what is the XMP Profile 2 boot attempt final DeBug Code ?


What bios version is on your 2nd bios chip ?
... is this a new build, or just new RAM for an existing build ?

btw - how'd the Memtest go ?

That was a new build. The machine cannot runned when set to the 2133 profile. i push off my power supply and i get the message Overclocking Failed during boot and F1 for BIOS. i have test all bios versions ... can it be that the memory was not supported on this mainboard?

The mainboard has nothing to do with the memory controller. It will be the CPU that is not able to run 2133Mhz with those sticks of ram.

So in Tweaker, what is the CPU Level Up set to ?

... what are the choices with the i5 2500K : AUTO / ?? / ??

i have test with 37 (standard), 40 and 42 @ stock Vcore set to 1.175v.

If i remember correctly,there were issues with memory when using 3203 bios,i would flash to 3402 as it is the most stable bios as yet for the MIVE-Z.
