Mic volume very low on Maximus VI Hero

Hi Guys,

I built a new system a few weeks ago now using the Maximus VI Hero and now any mic i use is far to low to be heard by anyone.

I have have reinstalled the drivers from Asus website, i have tried just running with Windows 8.1 stock driver i have played around with every setting in the Realtek audio manager as well as Windows settings and nothing i do seems to help.

Next stop will be taking the pc apart and replacing the motherboard but that kinda a hassle so i am trying to avoid that is possible.

If anyone one has any thoughts please let me know.

i have the same problem, i want to play games and comment but the mic volume is very low and cant get it loud, i tried also the driver resinstall but no response, please let me know if you solved the problem gabomur@gmail.com
