Mem TweakIt

Tried the app and for some reason it is no longer letting me make changes in windows. Updated BIOS to 3203 and hasn't worked since then. Anyone else have this issue? Using version 1.01.4

Ah once more the three series BIOS bites the hand that installed it.

Sorry not able to offer any viable solution except to say that a new and working BIOS is due very soon. Check tomorrow as the Ivybridge CPU's go retail for a new BIOS.

I figured it was probably BIOS related, noticed that station-drivers had new BIOS for everything but this board so hopefully something comes out soon. Kinda wish I wouldn't fall for the "Memory Compatibilty" they add to each BIOS revision so I would quit updating them lol. Thanks for the reply 😉

You are not alone my friend. I have a different philosophy,

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

That's just it, the 3203's did fix my memory related BSOD's though not many but since updating I haven't had a single one that I didn't cause lol. Just no more adjustments with this utility on these BIOS. I did notify Asus support about the issue and tried looking for a newer version of Mem TweakIt and neither have proven successful so far lol but I have better hopes for support getting back with me before finding a newer version of the software 😉

Download the application from the Maximus V Gene page I think that is the latest and should work with the new firmware.

I'm not finding any sections in the Maximus V Gene page for Mem TweakIt. I did find a different version than what I have installed but it does the same thing when installed. Detects settings just fine but doesn't allow change to be made from windows. I have been going back and forth with Asus support and unfortunately the process is still in the "Try clearing cmos and reinstalling application" stage. If they would only read the replies they would notice that some of the people that contact them about issues Do happen to know a little bit about their own computer lol. If nothing else I could try the flashback to 1004 since it worked fine before these 3xxx series BIOS.

Can't get it to flashback to 1004 and Asus support just keeps wanting me to clear cmos and reflash bios (that I've done several times lol). So either hoping for an updated BIOS for the MEIV-Z or maybe an updated Mem TweakIt....which one do you think will happen first? lol
