Hi Guys,
Had a 4.4GHZ OC on my Intel 4790K . CPU cooled by Corsair's H1100i GTX AIO. Fans started ramping up and running pretty loud. Thought there was a problem with the cooler until I installed the Core Temp utility. CPU temps were hitting high 80's with 2% load on CPU at boot up. Did a search and tried some settings but the temps remained high. Restored BIOS settings to defaults and CPU temps are still high.
Last night I removed the CPU cooler and removed the thermal paste ( which was Corsair's stock paste) and re-applied IC Diamond paste. Temps are still high. Confirmed that the H110i's pump is running through the Link software and pump speed is running @ 3060 rpm. All fans are operational. CPU cooler plugged into CPU Fan header on MB. Thought Asus Ai Suite 3 was causing conflict. Deleted software with no change. I don't get it, using all good components and having such ****ty performance\experience. I am running BIOS version 3201. I see there is an updated Beta Bios 3503. Should I update to this beta version. Any advise to get my system up and running again will be very appreciated.
