Maximus vii formula

Hi there,

I recently bought the motherboard MAXIMUS VII FORMULA and i'm quiet happy about it. The only 'issue' i have at the moment is when i connect a headset and the back audio i cant use the option Sonic Soundstage. Because the soundcards detects my headset only as a speakers and not as headset.

Is there anyway to fix this?

I also have a M7F. I have noticed the same thing - when I plug a headset into the rear I/O audio jack, I can't use Sound Stage to modify. However, when I run it out of a front audio jack, it's no problem. I can use Sound Stage. I am not sure why this is, but my front audio jack runs through a ROG Front Base Panel, which is in turn plugged into the AAFP internal port at the bottom of the mobo. I assume this has something to do with the discrepancy. Can you run your headset out a front jack instead of the back one?

The AAFP header is for the hd audio cable front case jacks, Since you have the ROG Front Base connected to the AAFP header you should be using the ROG FB jacks as you have/had it.

Hi Nate,

I'm not sure if the OP has the ROG Front Base (but I do, as mentioned above, and I can use the front jacks for my headphones with Sound Stage sucessfully).

The OP wondered why he couldn't use Sound Stage if he plugged his headphones into the rear audio jack located at the I/0 shield area.

Is this because Sound Stage only works for headphones that eventually run through the AAFP header?

Sounds a bit silly but i never used the front connection for my headset. This is because i only use a headset on my pc. I don't have any speakers. So if its a not possible its a shame but a problem where i can life with. Tnx anyway guys.
