Maximus VII Formula Solid CPU LED

My PC was up and running for a few months now, left it on yesterday.
When I came home the following day, it looked like it was on sleep mode.
I hit the power button and I wont boot, the monitor's power led was just blinking.
I power reset, hit the CMOS clear button, etc. nothing. Checked the motherboard,
I got a solid CPU led light on. I think, the code was initially " 41 ". I tried checking the mobo,
the OEM heatsink was not on contact with the CPU. I tried reseating it, got " 13 " error or
something can't remember. I my mobo fired?

Hello c33j4y and welcome

Attach the cpu heatsink and ry to start your pc again and let it go until it stops on a code, the code it stops on is the code you want to be concerned with. Then take a look in your motherboard manual and look up that code and tell us what it is referring to please, this can usually point us in the direction of the problem.

Your heatsink not being attached to the cpu is not a good thing but if your cpu was fried it would be showing code 00 so the fact you are getting codes other than code 00 is a good thing so I'm pretty sure your cpu is fine.

And who knows it may have just been too hot and it might be fine after attaching the cpu heatsink.
