Maximus VI Impact - Loud POP from Speakers on Boot/Restart

Can't find a match in Search so far, so thought I'd post.

Just finished a build with this board, but on boot and restart I get a loud "pop" noise from the speakers.

Using standard rear jack from the Supreme FX Impact board.

I'm sure we've all had this type of sound before, typically on shutdown on various motherboards, but this is especially loud.

Any tips, or better yet a fix?

I have the same problem.
Seems Asus' priority when it comes to fixing audio problems is very low.

The loud "pop" is not an issue with the card, IIRC the popping noise is a relay switching on/off...I get it with my Phoebus, so in order to not get it, I turn off my speakers...problem solved.
