I have an older model Z87 based Maximus VI hero motherboard which I recently bought an intel 540 1tb tlc ssd for along with a syba m.2 to pcie adapter, however when I install it in my system it doesn't show up in bios, or to a usb windows installer. I think it showed up in windows 10 once I got the system booted, but I'm not sure. An unknown pcie device was detected and the intel management engine interface was installed. however the drive still dose not work. I've had it installed in both the second x16 slot and the third black x16 slot. Any help in getting the drive ether usable as storage or bootable would be appreciated.
