Maximus VI Hero MB: Dreaded QCode A2/AE

Lol so as the title states, having some issues with my Maximus VI Hero MB. This is a completely new build (with some parts from the old PC) and first time installation.

i7-4770K
16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600mhz RAM
Corsair Neutron GTX 120GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 350GB HDD (from previous build)
Sony Bluray ROM (from previous build)
Corsair TX750 V2 PSU
Corsair 550D Case
ATI Radeon 5750 1GB GPU (from previous build)

Alright, so I've gotten everything installed, and upon first boot I receive QCode A2 and the Boot Device LED is lit. Then after a few seconds, the MB loads into BIOS at which point the QCode changes to AE. What gives??? Below is a list of troubleshooting steps I've taken at an attempt to resolve this issue. No luck. I fear it's a SATA issue and will require an RMA. Sad, this always seems to happen to me. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this issue! I appreciate all your help.

Steps I've taken to fix issue include the following...
Moved/Swapped/Removed RAM in every configuration available
Reseated MB cables (24 PIN and 8 PIN CPU connectors)
Removed dGPU and booted with integrated graphics only
Moved/Swapped/Removed all Sata cables in every configuration available
Booted with no SSD
Booted with no HDD
Booted with no DVD/Bluray ROM
Booted with no peripherals (no HDD, SSD, ROM Drives)
Disconnected front panel USB and HD audio headers and fan headers
Flashed most recent BIOS update (was up-to-date out of the box)
Reseated CPU fan (using stock Intel CPU fan)
***Cleared CMOS between each test.
***Ran with & without Fast Boot and S.M.A.R.T. scan enabled.
***Always checked to make sure boot priority was properly set.

Welcome to the ROG forums, ampreston85.

Nothing is wrong with your system, my friend. The A2 QCODE comes up when it's trying to find a device to boot to. The boot device QLED stays lit because you do not have a HDD/SSD connected to a SATA port. And the AE QCODE means that you're in the BIOS.

The solution? Connect everything back together and install your OS. 😉
