Hello guys! Like 3 weeks ago I decided that it was time to upgrade the 212 evo. I went ahead and bought a Cryorig R1 Universal and this thing is HUGE!! Its weight comes in at 1181g. . . So my question is, will this big air cooler cause my motherboard to snap in half or bend or can I trust the HERO to take the weight like a champ? Any feedback is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

hello kenpachi7144

The cooler won't break your motherboard but in this review it says you will have trouble with ram that has tall heat spreaders.

Hello there Nate, I have the R1 Universal, the one in your link is the R1 ultimate. The R1 universal does work with ANY ram. . . I've seen some people running Corsair platinum ram, gskill tident x's with this cooler. That was the reason I din't get the Noctua NH-d15 because of ram clearance issues and this one performs the same as the noctua when you it up with a 3rd fan!

Oh sorry I thought it was referring to it as the ultimate air cooler, that is one beast of a cooler.

But at any rate you will be fine.
