Maximus VI HERO and 6TB HDDs

Hello guys, I'm back to this trusty forum in look for enlightenment. I'm planning to buy a pair of WD 6TB Red HDDs and my question is if the maximus vi hero will be able to use those hdds. I don't have any experience with anything beyond 2TB. I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

Hi!

Yes, those hard drives will work just fine with your motherboard.

Just remember to use GPT partition instead of MBR, because MBR doesn't support drives >2TB

Thanks for the reply, now can you please give me some instructions or a link on how to do that. Would be greatly appreciated, I haven't bought any new hdds since I bought both my seagates in 2010 and have since forgotten the process.
