Maximus VI Gene Bios Hour time resets only

Hope someone can help me.

I pulled out my old Maximus VI Gene and put together a new rig that will be my unRaid server. The BIOS battery was dead so I replaced it and everything is working fine but the HOUR time on the BIOS always resets to 00 (minutes and seconds remain correct). This happens when I pull the plug from my PSU or switch the PSU off via it's power switch. I do this because where I am we get severe electrical storms and now it's storm season I need to do this as a safety measure as storms roll in.

Of course while this happens then my RTC is out of whack and then my server won't turn itself on automatically through the bios. I am on the latest BIOS for the board. I haven't yet rolled back to an older version as of yet to see if it's the BIOS itself that is buggy. But I just wanted to see if anyone has an idea why this is happening?

Thanks.

Looks like it's unRaid (as it's Linux based) reverts it to UTC time automatically. All good sorted now
