Maximus VI formula CSM legacy mode?

Hello, I've got a maximus VI formula, but for some reason it always needs to boot in legacy mode, and I can't figure out why.

I installed windows 7 in UEFI mode, and updated my bios, but it still won't boot unless in legacy mode.

My system specs are as follows.

Maximus VI formula

i7 4770k

Gtx 770 directcu2 x2

16 GB corsair dominator

240gb intel 530 series SSD

1TB WD black

The motherboard makes me load the legacy stuff for my pci-e cards, but don't the gtx 770's support UEFI?

I even flashed the latest BIOS onto the motherboard.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

If all settings in Bios are correct and you installed in UEFI mode then looks like GPU does not by default come with correct UEFI bios but would think 700 series would.

I know with the 600 series you had to request a UEFI Bios from EVGA support and the 770 is a rehashed 680.

The staff here should know.

How can I flash a new bios to the video cards?

Well I would see what Asus say about the current Bios, find out if its fully UEFI.

Do they frequent the forums?

Yes, but what about Googling your exact model and seeing what comes up.

ASUS 700 series video cards are UEFI capable out of the box.

Then why do I need to load legacy oproms?

Hello

How are you determining the video cards are the issue? The only setting that is dependent on video card UEFI compatibility is the Hardware Fast Boot setting.

I just assumed it was them because when I googled the issue that was the only thing that came up.

What else could be forcing me into needing legacy mode? Everytime I try to disable CSM it forces it back on.

Edit: I just figured it out. I need to have secure boot enabled and windows 7 doesn't support it. What a bummer.
