MAXIMUS VI Formula BSOD code 0x00000124

hello everyone. First off . This is my first post. I purchased the formula the first day it came out. Everything is great running at stock. It is until I attempt to over clock it(With Presets and or manually) I am getting BSOD screens with the 0x00000124 code. I am wondering if the ram I purchased is compatible with this board is causing this issue. Or could it even be a bad chip.

Here are the system Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus VI Formula
Memory: 32 gigs G.SKILL TRIDENT X F3-2400 CL10D
Graphics Card: 2X EVGA GTX 670 FTW SLI
Hard Drive: Corsair FORCE GT 120GB SSD, W.D BLACK 1.0 TB X2
Power Supply: Corsair AX1200I
Case: Cooler Master HAF X
CPU cooling: Corsair H80
OS: Windows WIN7 64
Monitor: ASUS 144HZ 27"

I have done mem test and everything is acting as it should. Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

Yep, and not all can do DDR3-2400 with 32GB when the CPU cores are overclocked either. I had some CPUs that needed to be kept at DDR3-2133 and that was with less than 32GB in tow. That should give deathcycle some food for thought...

Thank you for the reply Raj. I guess it would of been helpful to me and the public of this before I purchased this ram. I can still return it. As of now, I am going with 1600 in the settings and changed a few other things. Slowly making progress. Thanks again!

OP please confirm that you have run Memtest86+ at both stock and XMP profile and the ram passed without issues for two cycles?

See how it goes, and let us know. We might be able to clock it up gradually - you are on the right path doing this systematically.

I'm having the exact same problem with just about the same hardware. 16 gigs of ram and I'm not trying to over lock just run the computer. I am only able to get it to work when I go into easy mode and set it to the power save option. Anyone know what the optimal settings are?
