Maximus VI Extreme Wi Fi Problems on Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bits

Hello Everyone:

I've been using my Maximus VI Extreme for about 3 months on Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bits. I'm connected to the internet by the PCIe Combo adapter through Wi Fi, I have an issue with this because my connection losses packages when I do a ping command to my router. I have tested with all the Wi Fi channels and I have the latest driver and BIOS 1402. Sometimes changing the channel solves the problem for a few days but it returns randomly.

Has someone a similar issue?

Thanks a lot.

Regards,

Fer

Wifi is dependant on so many other factors - like shielding and position of the antenna. Location of the router will play a huge part too.

Not sure I can really help you constructivly here besides saying check what is between your wifi and the router. Most folks will have their case rear (where the wifi is) facing or against a wall. That is going to hugely impact on wifi signal.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Thanks for your answer, you're right. The router is in another room where my PC is and the antenna was close to a wall on the top of the case. I move the antenna a few centimeters above the case and put away a bit from the wall. Now the connection is stable and no more packages lost.
