Hi,
i have a problem. I have attached my cooler first pwm fan to cpu fan and its work, i have attached the second cooler pwm fan to the cpu opt, but it is not releaved in the bios. Why? And how to solve?

thanks

If the fan works on both the Maximus VI Extreme and the Maximus VI Hero that you've used for testing, it'd suggest that the fan is defective.

I have tried different fans with same result?

could you please elaborate? avoid using excessive simplified sentences.

- op, you said, you attached your first pwm fan to CPU_FAN connector, and it works.
- you attached your second pwm fan to the CPU_OPT connector, but it's not revealed in the bios, as in your bios reading shows N/A (not available, not spinning)

las week i have tested a hero vi mb, with other pwm fan but same issue.... In your one it's work?

i started to lose you after this part, i think you're trying to say: last week i've tested a hero IV motherboard, with other pwm fan (which pwm fan? is it the same fan that you're currently using, or some other random pwm fan? and what did you mean same issue? did you mean the bios didn't show RPM value?)

your next replies made me think the fan did spin, but the RPM isn't shown in the bios . is that correct?
can you try, to let's say, unplug that what-you-may-think-to-be-problematic-fan header, plug it into other fan connector, any that you can find, in your motherboard. you know what? use the CHA_FAN (chassis fan) header (it's working right?). if something else is plugged in there pull it out and plug the fan you want to test in.

this is to confirm whether your pwm fan is broken or not.
no siggy, saw stuff that made me sad.

I have attached the problematic fan in a ch_1 fan and not releaved. You right , the problem is the fan.

But with the hero with other fan, the rpm are not releaved in bios, but why? I Have another fan, i try to connect in the opt and i'll see what appen.

either the (hero's?) motherboard's reading (for that header) is borked, or your fan RPM sensor is borked, or both.

test, test, more tests. eliminate non-plausible possibilities. what's left standing is the source of problem.
keep us updated 🙂

The other fan it was releaved in both, cpu and opt. The problem is the be quiet fan 😕
