1. Improve system stability. 😉

2. Support New 4th-Generation Intel Core Processors

3. Before using the new Intel 4th Gen Core processors, we suggest that you first update the BIOS using USB BIOS flashback, or download the BIOS updater for new Intel 4th Gen Core Processors and then update the BIOS using it.

Mobo Tempo is basically the ambient temp of your case, its a small sensor that used to be near the CMOS Battery so I assume it still is there.

It is not a Chipset temp, that is PCH DiodeTemp for this Mobo. and I am sitting at about 36C, Mobo Temp is 25C.

Im getting troubles passing Prime 95 after update, it becomes BSOD in a few seconds with higher voltages.
Also it does not respond to changes done with rog connection.

I will try to flash 1302 back and i will report.

PS: rog connection is to my laptop Asus X53SV

Confirmed, flashing back 1302 and the system is more stable with smaller voltage than 1402, but now fails prime 95 in a few minutes, whiles before not.

I will look a few more inside.

If any kind of report is needed to investigate this deeply, please, just ask for them.

OMG now I always get BSOD while running prime 95, included with higer voltages.

I've held off flashing to this BIOS so far as I've been working on my GPU overclock but after reading about you're BSODS I think I might give it a miss since 1302 has been working pretty well for me.

I'm getting worse overclocking results with this bios update too. Where I could previously get at least 4.2Ghz on stock volts, i have to bump it up significantly to get anywhere close now.

After a few days of testing, I can say 1402 BIOS is as stable as 1302 BIOS was on my system. Same clock, same volt etc.

Also noted that Asus added the "High precison event timer" setting (finally) 😮

Haven't noticed about the Mb sensor before. But it seems fine here (About 28-31 C)

/Cheers

Just flashed this BIOS today and seems to be running fine with my previous overclock. How are you running the High Precison Timer tObber, or anyone? I've always disabled it to get 3.14MHz in WinTimerTest, now I'm trying it enabled in BIOS and Windows to get 14.3MHz.

Thanks
