Maximus V Gene won't post 2nd board with q-code A2

This is my second Maximus V Gene and it still won't post. I am getting code A2 like the first board. Have removed and reseated cpu, ram. Right now I am just trying to get it to post with only the cpu and ram installed. Any thoughts? Update BIOS?

CPU - core i5 3570k
RAM - corsair cmx16gx3m2a1600c11
PSU - seasonic x-650

See if you can get your CPU tested. The likelihood of two boards being defective is really small.

And have you connected the 8pin 12v CPU connector correctly?

8 pin 12V cpu connecter is correctly installed. Not sure how to get my cpu tested I don't have any spare 1155 motherboards laying around.

Do you have any spare CPU's laying around? 🙂 Take your CPU to a store and ask them to test it mate. Something is not right for sure CPU is a possible cause.

Replaced CPU and RAM and I'm typing on it now. Could have been either one. Thanks.

Mate I am just happy that you are sorted, too me that is the main thing, I could not care ultimately what the cause was just that a ROG users has a working system. Enjoy.
