Maximus V Gene windows 7 freezes

Hello. First thing first: apologies for my english, spanish is my mother language, not english. I'll do my best to explain myself.
These freezings are so annoying that I've lost my patience and came here in search for help since google is not an option

About a few months I bought this motherboard, since then my windows is starting to freeze randomly (fresh installment), sometimes when listening to music, sometimes when i'm playing, sometimes just doing random stuff.
Windows will lock up and I will have to hard reset, then repair the installation, the whole process can took me 5 mins or one hour (it depends how much the system wants to troll me, making me wait unnecessarily)
It happens at least once every, lets say 24 hours, somedays 5 times a day (it's just painfull).
The longest time without a freeze was something like 48 hours.

I have readed lots of forums about people with pretty much the exact issues using this motherboard, but 50% of them where using SSDs, and I'm using a regular HD (old SATA 2 Western Digital).

Is not an OS problem since I reinstalled windows 4 times since these problems started to happen (just to see if that was the issue). I don't think is a software/driver issue neither. I'm pretty "light" in terms of software: A few minor programs, and the usual drivers (video, sound, usb 3.0, etc).
I have even installed the Asmedia SATA drivers. Never did that before, drivers for an HD... And the problem still persists.

Never had these freezings with my old configuration. The problem started when I changed the motherboard/ram/cpu.

I have run memtest for a few hours, it says everything is fine. Used HD Tune pro to test the HD, it says my HD is perfect.
Never Overclocked anything.
Tried changing the ram into a different socket, no results. Tried checking the SATA cables, everything is fine

My PC configuration:

Maximus V Gene
i5 3570k
G.Skill Ripjaws 1x8Gb
GTX 660Ti (after that was my old ATI 4890, same issues)
OCZ 600w XStream
Western Digital HD321KJ 320gb SATA 2 (is old, but still works flawlessly according to HD Tune Pro)
Windows 7 ultimate 64bits

Not sure waht more I can add. Hope you understood what I just wrote (shouldn't have been a walltext...)

( 1 ) Do you get a ERROR CODE on the Mother Board ?
( 2 ) Do You get a ERROR CODE from the OS affter you re-start the system?
( 3 ) Are you running a Anti-Virus, if so which one?
( 4 ) Are you running the AI SUITE software?
( 5 ) What version of Windows are you running

Just for good measure do the following:
Start / All Programs / Command Prompt / RIGHT CLICK on the command prompt box & give administrative permission, Once the command prompt box appears on your desktop type in the following EXACTLY as it appears here: sfc /scannow
then press ENTER.
Once the scan has completed if there are errors or not reply & post the results here in this thread.
If there are further problems we can then address further steps.
 Reading doesn't always equal comprehension!

I just noticed you only have 8GB's of RAM ( MEMORY ) in order for your system to run more stable this alone can be the majority of the problem!

1. I don't hve any Q-code errors when I start the pc
2. Don't have errors when windows start, not even after a hard reset. (after bios you have the options as usual "start windows normally, repair", etc)
3. I've stopped using any antivirus program since years
4. I think I installed AI suit the very first time, but after reinstalled windows over and over I didn't installed it anymore
5. I'm using W7 ultimate 64b

Did the scannow as admin, it says "acces denied" when I try to see the log

About the ram... not sure if I follow you.
Are you saying to me that I need 2 modules (like 2x4gb = 8gb / 2x8gb = 16gb)? Or are you saying to me tthat 8gb is NOT enough? if so, how on earth 8gb can't be enough, I mean, I was running 4gb DDR2 in my old configuration and it worked just fine...

Also, I've checked the event viewer just in case there was something there. Noticed Criticals, "Power-Kernel" according to description it may be when I hard reset. But also, Disk errors and ATAPI errors.

Other thing I've noticed. This seems to occur when I'm playing a game and also listening to music. There is a plus 50% chance if I have bittorrent open. I often times download TV series I couldn't watch on tv (large size, 20-30Gb) and is almost certain I will get a freeze at some point. Like if the system can't hanndle copying large amounts of data or accesing the Hard drive.

Thanks for answering

Chino (you speak spanish don't you? XD) I don't have any other Power Supply, but I think the OCZ 600 I have now is enough... Not sure, what do you think? I've aked many guys and all said that this PSU is enough for my setup
