Maximus V Gene BSOD problems

Hi guys,

I need help. I'm having BSOD problems with my Maximus V Gene lately. I noticed some things about it since I started using it but there were no BSODs before. Just today.

Specs:
CPU: i5-2500k OCed to 4.0Ghz
Board: Maximus V Gene (bios version 1903)
RAMS: Kingston HyperX 2x 4gb 1866mhz 1.65v
GPU: Asus GTX 660 DCUII
Boot drive: OCZ Vector
PSU: Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 10 850watts

First. the +3.3V reads only +2.96V (hardware monitor, AI Suite II)
AI Suite II keeps on popping out a warning.
Is that bad? How bad is it and how can I fix this?
I was using a P8Z77-V before with the same PSU, I didn't have such problems.

As for the BSOD. Details are:

BCCode: 1e
BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000046
BCP2: FFFFF800044B09D4
BCP3: FFFFFFFF00024600
BCP4: 0000000000000009
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1

I never had problems like this with my P8Z77-V even with it having 2 dead DIMM slots. The BSOD only happens during boot up. It doesn't happen when I am using the computer. It runs normally and smoothly.

If you have two monitoring software applications running at the same time this can cause errors in reporting. So not sure what to make of the 3v reading.

How old is the PSU and please list all hardware that is connected to your system, hard drives and or other devices please.

I already uninstalled AI Suite II because it kept popping the warning. Only hardware monitor for now. I'm running AIDA 64 stability test as of this moment. The PSU is around 8 months old. Full Specs:

CPU: i5-2500k OCed to 4.0Ghz
Board: Maximus V Gene (bios version 1903)
RAMS: Kingston HyperX 2x 4gb 1866mhz 1.65v
GPU: Asus GTX 660 DCUII
Boot drive: OCZ Vector
Storage Drives: 2x 500gb seagate barracudas and 1x 500gb WD Caviar blue
PSU: Be Quiet Dark Power Pro 10 850watts
Cooler: Corsair H90

Peripherals connected:
Logitech G110, mice, ASUS Thunder FX.
I already tested if there is some sort of USB power overload since the ThunderFX is a bit power hungry IMHO. The +3.3V readings were still the same even with the keyboard and ThunderFX removed. I use the computer like 12hours minimum. No BSODs during use. Just during boot up. Could this be registry errors? I installed and uninstalled kaspersky the other day.

That may be the case, Kaspersky is quite invasive and really hard to get rid of it.

Does this BSOD happen every time? What does the event viewer suggest is the cause?

Yes. The BSOD problems only occurred after I installed and uninstalled that. Dang.. how can I completely remove this?
I want to avoid restoring a backup as much as possible.

Or go into the registry and remove all left over entries.

I just did the removal thing. Restarted and didn't BSOD so far. I hope that did it.
Thank you for you assistance. 🙂

Okay. Thanks for the help. Will do this now.
On the other hand, are there no effects of having that seemingly low +3.3V reading?
