Maximus V Gene: Booting from mouse/keyboard?

Hi all, I just built a new PC with a Maximus V Gene board and it's a great system, however I have a question. My last motherboard was a Gigabyte DS3L and with that board I could power my system by clicking a mouse button or pressing any key on the keyboard. I'm trying to find this feature in the Asus UEFI but can't find anything pertaining to power by mouse/keyboard. Is this feature available in an obscure menu somewhere or is it simply not supported on this board?

Thanks 🙂

Please try to set those option in the bios manual...

1. Advanced-->USB configuration-->EHCI hand-off-->Enabled
2.APM Configuration-->Power on By/PS2 Keyboard-->Enabled
3.APM Configuration-->Power on By/PS2 Mouse-->Enabled

Thank you for your answer!

I set the EHCI option to Enabled and went to look in the APM menu and I cannot find a mention of Mouse or Keyboard. This is a screenshot of my APM screen:

My keyboard and mouse are both USB. Should I use a USB to PS/2 adaptor to get them recognized?

That's what I see too. Kind of lame really, my old P5N32 MB had this feature and who still uses PS/2 anymore? But yeah, I can live without it too especially since the M5G is top shelf in almost every other way

Very Sorry!
I just asked to motherboard RD,this model motherboard doesn't supported USB interface KB or mouse to power booting feature...
Only supported PS/2 interface

It would have been a nice feature to have but I can live without it! Thanks for your reply 🙂
