MAXIMUS V GENE BIOS 1903 Win8.1 FSB function no longer exist & Turbo no longer works!

Hi have some problems with my turbo and my FSB in bios 1903. I updated from 1802 vio AI Suite (god damn it) to 1903 in win8.1 now i cant oc my 3770k no more max FSB is 35.

I loaded the oc profiles also.

And the Turbo is max on 3900Mhz what the **** is wrong with it?

I downgraded every possible bios, in the bios, with dos flash usb sticks and with ai suite II with no success 😕
Someone has any idea what can i do more?

Please download the bios file from your motherboard support page.

Use a FAT formatted USB stick and place the bios onto the root directory

Now clear CMOS and boot into bios.

Navigate to the tools folder.

Open EZFlash2 and flash your bios.

Please do not power down during the entire process it could take 10-15 minutes and will sit with a black screen for some time. This is normal and correct.

Your system needed a firware update for the new bios I suspect. And by using the OS to flash bios there was no opportunity for that firmware upgrade.

Please do not use the OS to flash, even if you have done so 100's of times in the past. The risk is just too high.

With which bios i should start 1408?

I am assuming that you will use the latest bios. That bios will contain the firmware update. 🙂

Thats nice that the jumper not exist and in the manual nothing is written, need to get a jumper at a friend tomorrow to much waste time today with this ****. I really hope with the cmos reset i get my complete old functions back.

I suggest that instead of cursing and ranting about stuff you calm down and get to know your motherboard better. The CMOS clear is a button that is found on the in/out panel at the back of your board - it is the one right on the corner. 🙂

I tested every possible option to reset and update with asus tools , cd, easyflash , bios flashback, usbflash dos, crashfree recovery, cmos with button / jumper .... the multiplicater is max 35 and to oc the turbo is still not there.

I think the only way to fix it is to use the russian guide or to buy a msi board, but the link is momently down....

1. Download the 1903 BIOS from Asus website.
2. Format a USB pendrive to FAT32.
3. Extract the BIOS file and rename the file to M5G.CAP.
4. Put the BIOS file on your USB pendrive.
5. Connect the USB pendrive to the white usb port.
6. Press the USB BIOS Flashback button/ROG Connect button for three seconds till the LED begins to blink, then release.
7. Wait till the LED stops blinking.
8. Power on your system using the Start button.

Any changes?
