I think if you can't wait you better get it now. I'm sure they will sell out fast like the M5E did.

My thing is.. What if it's $10 to $20 cheaper on NewEgg? I WANT THIS BOARD LIKE NO OTHER, but I can definitely wait till Monday if I've waited this longer for the possibility of a lower price.

My baby(M5E) is waiting for me at home. I wont be home in 6hrs tho=/.

The Extreme is a very niche board. How many people are going to be using nitrogen to cool their system? How many really intend to run 3x SLI. I hope people realize that with each card you get less return in performance. I think the production numbers on the Extreme will be significantly lower then for the Formula.

http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-670-2-and-3way-sli-review/1 you might want to visit this site and read about the 3-way sli. Only saying because your post confuses me. To my sight it seems 3-way improves. Only some minor parts show that 3-way loses to 2-way.

I am saying you get less return for each card you add. At least that is what I have read. I haven't ever built an SLI before the one I want to build now.

Well I have been doing 2-way and it rocks. Basically with the extreme, doing 3-way will be like doing 2-way except with more power because of the 8x 16x 8x verse 8x 8x. That is what I am reading and researching because those extra slots are important to me because I so want to do 3-way soon.

Two each their own my friend, and it’s the top end board for the z77 ROG

I agree, on both counts. Some people just want the top end board and don't care if they won't use all the features.

I will only be using water cooling, and I don't plan to have more than one graphics card either, with at most 2 in the future if needed. There are other reasons:

Several people posted earlier in this thread about wanting the physically larger board to help fill out the window view in their large cases. That applies to me as well, but mainly I need the internal eSATA hookup port to STAY internal, which is not possible on the Formula, apparently.

I also have no need for SupremeFX IV or FusionThermo, as I plan to be using a Phoebus, and a waterblock that accepts compression fittings. (Plus you never know about Thunderbolt; it might be important in the future. :p)

It's kinda annoying having to pay an extra $100, but given that everything about this build is an all-out affair, I'm not gonna complain. I do, however, wish I'd ordered from Excaliber; at the TIME I thought I was getting the Formula, lol. Oh well. 🙂
