Maximus V Formula with RAID and LucidLogix Virtu MVP Software

My old system has a 1TB RAID 1 storage that I wanted to transfer to the MVF board. But in the manual for the Virtu MVP software it states "We do not recommended that you use LucidLogix Virtu MVP under RAID mode".

I'm curious as to why its not recommended. I'm having trouble finding information on why this is the case. The only thing i found in the release notes were "Fixed Issues - RAID0 Crash" for V1.2.113, but this is for the "Virtu Software" and the MVF has the "Virtu MVP Software".

Is there an ETA on when this would be fixed (unless its already been fixed)? I just want to know if its safe for me to use RAID 1 for my storage hdds. If not my best bet would be to leave the igpu disabled and hope this gets fixed one day.

Or instead of disabling the igpu, I can have it already set up but disabled in the control panel (Disable Virtu MVP) so when they update it I can just enable it. (Not sure if this route would be safe)

The setup will be 1 OS SSD is on Intel SATA 6gb port and the 2 Storage HDD's will be on the 2 Intel SATA 3gb ports in RAID 1.

Would love any help! 🙂

You should not have any problems at all as your OS and therefore the registry is not in a RAID array.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

Awesome!! Time to plug in them hdd's! Thanks a lot!! 😄

asking just out of curiosity. did you get Virtu to work?

I enabled iGPU in BIOS 704 (Maximus V Extreme here), installed HD4000 driver and Virtu software and whenever Virtu is enabled (Hyperperformance on, v-sync off) it crashes every game/benchmark upon start or gives me a black screen until I CTRL+ALT+DEL and kill the process ...

never mind! I found the culprit and the trick to make it work 😄

the golden rule for using Lucid MVP is to ALWAYS use the nvidia WHQL driver released BEFORE the latest Lucid MVP driver! this way it works fine! 🙂
