MAXIMUS V FORMULA / thunderFX and bios v.1903 ??

hello community

i'm proud to be one of rog members, and owners as well , i'm new here and i have a question hope to find an answer

i have maximus v formula / thunderfx on bios V: 1802 which is latest update for my board According to asus support and drivers

so the question is :

is it compatible to upgrade it to 1903 maximus v formula ? as far as i know the two boards are the same ?

btw i'm not facing any kind of problems but i don't like to be outdated while a new bios is already available that's all

here is my rig if its concerned :
i7 3770k oc4.5Ghz cooled by thermaltake water cool 2.0
8GB G.skill Trident x 2400
GTX670 Two-way SLi
OS : Windows 8.1 pro x64

Do not touch your BIOS if you're not experiencing any specific problems with stability. There is no point updating just to have the latest and the greatest. LOL 😛

but recently i have a GPU crashes and freezes , sometimes like DXGI ERROR , and sometimes have to power it off from the physical button.

I just forgot to mention about this above .

I say it may be a bios problem , any idea guys 😞

Yeah and that is where the problem is. There are heaps and heaps of post over at the BF4 forums about this very thing. I honestly do not know how to fix it for you.

So its the game problem, hope not my pc having some VGA compatibility issues. Which is been fixed in the bios v1803 and i still on 1802 as i mentioned here is the changelog from asus :

MAXIMUS V FORMULA BIOS 1803
Fixed onboard & add-on VGA card compatibility issue.

Nope that bit of information you posted was like a red flag to me.

Folks are complaining big time about getting that very same error code since some update from BF4, there are a whole heap of fixes that work for some and then do not work for others.

Older nVid drivers.
Reinstalling the game
Removing the directX folder contents and reinstalling DirectX

The list goes on. One bloke just went out and bought a AMD card and that fixed it for him.

So no I do not think your hardware is broken no.

I've already tried all the this possible solutions before
Reinstall the game , nvidia driver and DX
And the problem still there!
you know what makes me loosing my mind that i was play about 12 hours without
Any problem on windows 7 before upgrading to 8.1 , i dont think that os is my main problem since BF4 is win 8 compatible.
Another thing i got this kind of error a lot when my SLI enabled.
Sli works fine with other games
I'm really confusing dont know what to do 😞

please anyone have Maximus V Formula thunderFX tells me if 1903 bios is compatible with it

why these updates 1803 and 1903 are not listed in the support page like other models 😞
