Maximus V Formula Post issue. HELP!

I seem to have an issue and i can't quite seem to figure out what it is. I just built my new system today and i was really happy when i had successfully installed windows and was just finishing up the driver install. On a driver restart i went to do whatever and when i came back my system would not post.

Basically, i hit the power button and all the LED lights for my components come on and all the fans ramp up but then it randomly shuts off before posting or displaying anything on the monitor. The LED debugger codes do not even show up before reseting itself and trying to post.

Any and all help would be much appreciated! 🙂

SPECS:
Intel 3770K
Maximus V Formula
16GB Corsair Vengeance (2x8Gb)
Corsair H100i
Asus Matrix Platinum 7970
Ax1200 PSU
1TB WD caviar Black
120Gb Vertex 4 SSD
Corsair 650D case

While searching for answers on the forum, i had got to page 7-8 and realized that i could not find anyone with the same issues.. which leads me to believe that either I'm an idiot and messed up on something, or either my MOBO or CPU may be dead.

Remove all the components from your motherboard. Clear CMOS with the battery out of your system and let your system stand for an hour or two.

Rebuild your system use the Intel stock cooler.

One stick or ram, no HDD

Power on all should be good.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

just be shure you have termal paste in the house, so you can apply new when ripping out the parts and instaling it again ( cpu ).
too mutch preshure on the CPU can mess it up , happened to me once and i did RMA all the parts ( mobo, cpu, PSU ) and nothing.

Stock intel cooler has thermal paste pre applied!
But I'm picking some up tomorrow for when/if i put the h100i back on. Ill post my results tomorrow.

Okay, so i found the problem. the cpu must not have been seated properly or something because the corner is bent and theres a crack running through a couple connectors. This is a total face palm and i can just hope that i didn't mess up the motherboard! thanks for all of the help.. ill post if it was something else but as of now that looks to be the issue.

Once you replace it, i would state to pay close attention to seating the cpu into the motherboard, prior to this check using a magnifying glass all the pins on the motherboard to be 100% sure you havent bent any or other damage can be seen around the general cpu socket area.

Take youre time when attaching coolers and always (depending on clamping method used) screw them down evenly two opposite diagnals at a time.. and do not tighten two opposite corners completely, move to the other two, then back to the first two until they all reach "home" ...do it in stages.

Hope this helps...
Why would i ride the swing's when i've already been to DisneyLand..
