Hey guys im having a weird issue im hoping one of you might be able to help me solve.

I finished my entire system and booted it up after installing OS etc.. played a few games ran a few benchmarks and OCed it.. rinse and repeat.. This was all done having full usage of my 16gb of ram. i started running into a few weird boot issues error code posting 22 and a few others.. after restarting the system it would always just boot straight into the OS..

i decided to flash the lastest bios from the website hoping that would fix the issue.. well it fixed it but now i cant seem to get 8/16 gb to run.. in the bios it recognizes all four dimms and and their speeds however i cant get all 16 to be used.

i tried using different memory configurations and dimm configurations.. all of which work however not all 4 at the same time.

Im not sure what bios i was running prior.. if anyone can tell me how to find out ill be happy to post that infos.

current build:

3770k
crucial balistx 4x4 gigs. (supported memory)
2x GTX 670 FTW's
240gig SSD.
OCZ 1250 watt PSU.

any help is appreciated!

thanks

Hello

Please download CPUz, the motherboard tab will tell you which bios you are using. The memory tab will tell you how many sticks are being picked up, look at the total memory top left.
To help us help you - please provide as much information about your system and the problem as possible.

bios version 1903 i knew that infos already i was wondering if i could find out my previous bios version tho.

the memory says 8136 mB........ i should have 16..

when i check the bios i can see that it detects all four dimms and lists details of each.. however when i look at the amount of memory available in the bios it says only the 8 gigs..

im not sure if it is related but i at times get an error code 9a which corresponds to the USB initialization?? i get a few more codes that it hangs on for a longer than normal amount of time. ill try and write them down next time i get the error.

There is no way to see what bios you previously had sorry.

Please do download and see what CPUz is telling you with regard to memory in place.

just to have put it out there, did you buy all the memory chips in one kit or more then one kit?? ( one kit box ( example 4 memory modules at 4gig each ) or 2 kits ( whit the amount of 2 + 4 gigs and 2+ 4gigs = 16 gig ) )

That info was from cpuz it only sees the 8 gigs as well.

I'm not sure if it is related but I now can not get one of my two video cards to be detected... The bios doesn't see it either. Also in having issues getting my os to apply service pack one..

I bought my memory as 2x4gb kits however I made sure they are from the same batch.. note that my system was working perfectly before flushing the bios update....

I'm currently flashing older bios' setting off that can beem the problem. Maybe I can get it to work this way.

ive added a screen shot as wel.

the frequency looks to be way off as well...

Oh cpuz is seeing all16 gigs however windows is only using8 the bios algae recognizes all16 however uses 8 as well. Additionally my second graphics card isn't being seen...

This was all working perfectly before the bios update.

*another update adding screen shots of bios.

Right what I would strongly suggest is to reflash your bios using the EZflash utility in the tools menu of the bios.

SPD can be seen but memory cannot be used is a common problem. It simply means it reads the SPD chip, but actual DIMM cannot be used. Have you got other memory to try, or perhaps try DIMM by DIMM to check for failure or perhaps DIMM socket damage/failure.
