Maximus V Formula CPU Fan Control (3 pin)

The Maximus Vformula has only 4-pin PWM fan connectors.
I'd like to use the Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler with this motherboard but it has only fans with 3-pin connectors (no PWM).

Does the Maximus V Formula support voltage based fan control so the fans of the Noctua NH-D14 do not run at full speed all the time?

OK I checked the manual again and found this:

"Only 4-pin CPU fans and 4-pin and 3-pin chassis fans are compatible with FAN Xpert 2"

So the Noctua NH-D14 fans wont be controllable?

It looks like the D14 uses the 140mm fans. Sooooo, just get some 4 pin (PMW) fans and swap them out. its really quite easy to do, and you will really like the results. My fans stay at like 600rmp when im just browsing, but with fan x pert I can crank them up to 2000 rpms for overclocking.
