Maximus V Formula Bluetooth

Hello,

Just recently built myself a new computer with the Maximus V Formula... Was just wondering how I could tell if the computer is recognizing the wifi+bluetooth combo card.

Whenever I try to discover a bluetooth device, it doesn't work. Not sure if I have the wrong drivers or if the motherboard just isn't recognizing the bluetooth card. Any advice?

Thanks

Edit: Also, are those two antennas only for the wi-fi portion? I assume so, therefore I haven't installed them...

Edit2: Nevermind, I added the antennas and I believe it's working now, how dumb of me!

My bluetooth & wifi works without external antennas, but reception of both bt/wifi is so poor that the only option is still connecting them.

I have the Maximus V Extreme. It has a card in it, but it doesn't say what it is. I assumed it was the Bluetooth as the website states this board has Bluetooth.

If you see something like this http://www.google.com/imgres?sa=X&hl=en&biw=822&bih=456&tbm=isch&tbnid=nVhlfjlWn5xf7M:&imgrefurl=htt... installed with 2 screws on the side of the combo card, then you should have BT and/or WiFi

Yep, that is exactly what I have. I just don't know why I can't connect to anything. It scans and scans (Windows 😎 and finds nothing, despite my phone, keyboard and headset all set to pair. My RocketFish adapter was able to find them on my previous build.

I have a similar problem, but my antennas are connected. It will find a new device, but rarely wants to pair. I am telling myself it is the devices, not my mobo, but there is always that thought. I have tried 5 phones of various make/models and only 1 paired. At 1st it have me a 0x800xxxxx message, I manually reset drivers and it stopped that error only to give me another.

Is there a place I can get the proper connectors for the antenna just so I can get this Bluetooth working? It's a huge bummer having this and does nothing. I have the antenna, but no way to connect it.

for those having bluetooth issues :
you need to connect the wifi antennas , i found that if you wont screw the antenna plug firmly onto the back i/o sheild , the antennas wont be connected properly , and you wont have bluetooth connection (wifi will work fine even without antennas)

you need to tighten the antenna plugs firmly , with the supplied nuts .
then , screw in the antennas , check that the inner antenna wire cant be twisted once you screw the antenna in .
