Maximus V Extreme Memory problem

Hi guys, I've had the MVE board along with i7 3770K and 16GB of Corsair Dominator Platinum (4x4GB) CMD16GX3M4A1866C9 and I've been getting BSODs and instability with the system like hang ups, freezings, and so on. so I tested the Ram with memtest86 and it passed but I knew its a ram issue deep down until I found out someone else was also having the same issues as mine with the same Ram and Motherboard, so I returned the Ram and for the life of me can not find a good 16GB Corsair rams that are also 1866 or 2133 that are also in the Memory QVL list of Maximus V Extreme. and from what I gathered none of the Corsair Dominator Platinums are in QVL list of MVE.

What you would need to provide me with is the BSOD error code mate and that will tell me where the problem is most of the time.

Also those rams work just peachy on the MVE board.

Are all your hardware drivers up to date?

When Hivizman says the RAM runs just peachy...he means it works great 🙂

Yes sorry I do forget that not all of our ROG family are from Sussex and we do speak a rather localised version of English. The ram do work quite well with The Z77 ROG boards I have tested.

The error code I am looking for is a number it will have heaps of 0000000's and then some other numbers like 124 or 101 and so on.

0x124 = add/remove vcore or QPI/VTT voltage (usually Vcore, once it was QPI/VTT)
0x101 = add more vcore
0x50 = RAM timings/Frequency add DDR3 voltage or add QPI/VTT
0x1E = add more vcore
0x3B = add more vcore
0xD1 = add QPI/VTT voltage
0x9C = QPI/VTT most likely, but increasing vcore has helped in some instances
0X109 = add DDR3 voltage
0x0A = add QPI/VTT voltage
0x1A = Memory management error. It usually means a bad stick of Ram. Test with Memtest or whatever you prefer. Try raising your Ram voltage. Can also mean more juice for the south bridge ICH volts

Do you have Daemon tools light or Alchol 120 installed?

Oh and is Macafee your AVS?
