Maximus V Extreme Audio Problem

My Audio is not working and not detecting my speakers.

When I left click the audio speakers for playback devices, it lists only the two below as enabled, and says others are not plugged in:

The only things that show plugged in our Realtek digital output, and Realtek digital output (optical).

I have it plugged into the rear green audio jack (no idea what to do here)

I am also not using a HDMI cable.

I have tried re-installing drivers several times, but no luck

Any suggestions?

I had this once on my RIVE amd found it was because the motherboard was being shorted near the audio chip by the standoff being slightly out. I would check the mounting of your board just to be sure its not this.

If possible could you do a fresh install of your OS, install the chipset driver and then the latest sound driver from the ASUS support page.

I will bump this up as I can not offer any additional assistance at this point.

Any update on this thread? I am seeing the same issue on my "brand new" RMA board.
