yes the cpu led stays lit, tried everything, bench out of case nothing hooked all same results, luckily everything was month old, took all parts back and exchanged today, board, cpu, ram, psu, and vid cards, back up and running again, I was gaming lastnight and what happened was I seen a spark, from my 1 day old sapphire hd 7970 I have 2 in crossfire, but yea the 1 card sparked machined kicked off like u unplugged it, and that's what it done no more boot red cpu led, now I exchanged everything and got 2 more 7970 but msi brand all is good they are the oc version 1010 MHz, everything good now, I think the card sparked like that and fried board or cpu, or both !

ohh, the debug of doom!!!!

but not always all bad..

Often its possible to fix it, unless there are any real HW issues..

please browse the forum for advice, i know hiviz has been very active regarding this issue, and often got it sorted out in the end..

They are not often solved. I had 00 error and CPU_LED lighting red. Tried EVERYTHING. Other PSU etc etc. I had to RMA it after 1 week with patience and debugging!

a member called Chino said you could try this setup

1. Disconnect all the cables that are currently connected to your motherboard.
2. Remove all the components from it also.
3. Put it on the box that it came in.
4. With everything disconnected and removed and your motherboard still on the box, remove the CMOS battery for 5 minutes.
5. Insert the battery back into place.
6. Install your CPU with its stock heatsink.
7. Insert one stick of RAM into the DIMM_A2 slot.
8. Connect the 24 pin and 8 pin power connectors.
9. Power up your system with the Start button.

Hope this works for you! 🙂
