I am seriously frustrated with the fact that MY MAXIMUS V GENE CANNOT OVERCLOCK with 4 SLOTS of rams despite numerous exchanges and bios update !!! I am seriously pissed with ASUS this time. MY RIG is equivalent of a FACTORY ZOMBIE with ZERO overclocking ability if i keep the 4 slots of rams on it. I didn't spend thousands on parts just to have a Factory MACHINE !!!! THIS ISSUE NEEDs TO BE ADDRESSED IMMEDIATELY !!!!!

3770k
4x4 Kingston HyperX 2133MHz XMP (dam I wish I could use the XMP). RAMS ARE ALL FINEEE, NO BSOD WATSOEVA,
Antec 920 Water cooling

I tried the method of using 2 rams to overlock first, and then plug in the other two . This works only for a FEW DAYS!!, then it would freeze and I had to resort to clearing MA CMOS again!!!!

To put it simply, your overclock isn't stable.

:mad:I can't even overclock 1MHZ with 4 slots of rams in!!! While with 2 rams, i can push my cpu to 4.4ghz. The system was running perfecto until i plugged in the other two rams!!!!! I don't want to leave my other 8 gigs on STANDBY!!

Now that you have all the pent up frustration out in the open, let us try and take things one step at a time and work out what your aim is and more importantly how to get there.

First lets start with some details.

BIOS ver
Ram part number for each kit please.

CPU cooler

Overclock - what is the target you wish to achieve?

Also, please, share how you were trying to OC - through some presets from OS or BIOS, or you did manual settings?

And some more food for thought for you, X-III.

It's not the same overclocking with 8GB of RAM than with 16GB RAM. Having more RAM puts more strain on the CPU. So you can't just find a stable overclock with specific settings and then slap in the other 8GB and expect it to work.

BIOS ver: 1604 (tried it all the way from the 900s)
Ram part number for each kit please: 4x4 Kingston HyperX 2133MHz XMP (they are one kit)
CPU: Read first post
CPU cooler: Read first post

Overclock - what is the target you wish to achieve?
CPU=: WHAT ever is possible, right now it can't even do 4.2 with 16gb, but 4.4 stable with 8gb
Ram= again, water ever is possible, if i upclock it by one level with default profile, it will keep resetting the motherboard
I just used the default profiles to overlock....it's eaiser

Well, that's where the problem is... you need to read and learn the manual OC'ing... those profiles are not a good option...

Start with reading this: http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?19186-ASUS-ROG-Maximus-V-Formula-UEFI-OC-Tuning-Guide&count... (and other stickies form this section of the Forum)

OK so you have no clear aim as to what your end point goal is beside the highest possible.
You have not read any of the guides on how to overclock your system as that is patently obvious.

Now as you said to me to read the first post for information. I say to you please read the guides how to overclock your system and then once you know a bit more about how your system works and still are unable to achieve any overclock I will try and assist you.

Let me give a simple example of what's going on: my rams on running at 1333MHZ which should be considered as under-clocked for an IVY Bridge system, however if i set it to 1600MHZ manually . the board will keep resetting like MAD!
