Has anyone else experienced issues mounting spare HD's with the maximus IV (z68)?
Here's my current drive config:
Boot - Connected to one of the Intel 6gb/s controllers is a 120gb kingston SSD booting windows 7 x64. (Works Fine)
Data - Connected to the Marvel 6gb/s controller are 2 WD Caviar Black HDs, configured RAID 0 w/ the Marvel util. (Works Fine)
Data2 - Seagate 500GB, I've tried connecting this on the 2nd Intel 6gb/s port and on all 4 of the 3gb/s ports. In each case the HD is not detected in the BIOS or in windows regardless of whether I enabled the hotplug bios setting for the drive socket.
I know the HD itself is good as it can be connected and used with a usb sata bridge. I will also note that the hd was recognized by both the BIOS and OS prior to configuring the Marvel RAID.
I am using the Thermaltake Lvl10GT case which has the 5 hot swappable HD bays. Needless to say, not being able to use all of the bays is a bit irritating.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
