MAKE SURE you install the Intel IRST first then restart. Then restart again and update bios. Rom has a lot of fixes and a big thanks to broncogr for all the new info!

IRST LINK: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/intel%20raid.htm make sure to download and install 11.0.0.1032 WHQL you may have to cut out of folder and place on desktop for it to run properly.

Then the BIOS: http://www.mediafire.com/?4elcsj9xscvgoie

As always there is a risk involved in flashing a bios such as power failure ect. Report your results...no more BSOD ect

Pic shows both orom and kit updated on my system

Doh! I screwed this up somehow. I decided to try to update to the 1004 BIOS far too late at night (or too early) and am pretty sure I missed or did not update the Intel Raid ROM 1st. I applied the new BIOS and upon Restart got a message the it was updating iROG firmware, but after that it just went to a black screen. Did I completely hose my #2 BIOS or is there a way that I can reflash to 0902 again?
I can POST in BIOS #1, but get a Boot Mgr is missing message...tried everything I could find online except BCDEdit.
If I must, I'm prepared to 'gut' the machine and redo all installations this weekend, but would rather avoid that if possible.

Lesson learned: Re-read entire posts when you get home, don't assume you got it after reading it at work and then wait until after midnight to start screwing with your system. 😕

I am not sure what went wrong...the only thing i updated in the bios was the raid rom. Asus updated the rog firmware. Get the latest bios from ASUS and go into bios and reflash . there is also a go back button in bios i forget what its called exactly...... Also try booting from your windows disk and let it try and repair the boot mgr issue.... report back with results i will try and help you all i can.....

I switched to BIOS#1 which still shows as 0902...got the Boot Mgr message though and had to fix that with bcd edit, diskpart.
All seems to be good now, but I'd like to get BIOS#2 back to usable. It wasn't even giving me POST until I switched to BIOS1.
I assumed that the worse that could happen would be I missed being able to update the RAID ROM (which I did want to do).
It was entirely my bad for missing that step and I was only asking how to get it back if I'm able to get into it...can I copy over from BIOS1 to 2 to get back to 0902? BIOS1 is solid though.
None of my issues stemmed from anything you did or the information you were kind enough to provide though.
